Jirí Kylián and the HDF

Over the years, I have come to deeply appreciate the role and the importance of international festivals trhoughout the world. They give dancers and choreographers a unique opportunity of exposure as well as an invaluable chance to interact and influence each other.

I am therefore particularly pleased that the Hague - my city of residence - should today be the home of one of the world's foremost international dance events: the Holland Dance Festival. I enjoy our ongoing collaboration and each time I am curious and excited to see what is cooking in the festival kitchen."
